What is your current research topic?
At the Early Learning Project, I work on a variety of eye-tracking studies. My current project looks at evaluative conditioning in infants. When I'm not working with babies, I am working on my PhD projects, looking at how emotional distraction affects visual perception and what we pay attention to in the visual environment. Why did you choose to pursue developmental psychology? Investigating how infants and children develop the abilities that adults have is extremely interesting and I enjoy getting to work with babies who never fail to put a smile on my face. What is your current research topic?
The main project I am working on at the moment is looking at how 5 year old children use knowledge about their future preferences to make appropriate decisions for the future. i am also currently running a study looking into evaluative conditioning in children. Why did you choose to pursue developmental psychology? Children are inherently fascinating. The fact that In the space of just a few years, they acquire so much knowledge and so many skills is mind-boggling! It's also a pleasure to work with children, you never know when they will say or do something that simply brightens up your day. What is your favourite ice cream flavour?
